Happy Independence Day Mauritius

It’s that time of the year again, 12th March, where Mauritians raise the ‘quadricolour’ flag high in the sky to celebrate the 54th Independence Anniversary and 30th Anniversary of the Republic of Mauritius. On this National Day, pride and enthusiasm fill our hearts when the Mauritius Flag is hoisted while singing the National Anthem.

Whether you live in Mauritius or you are part of the Mauritian Diaspora, it’s a special day to celebrate and promote our multicultural heritage. Here’s a handful of favourite activities we would like to share:

Air Mauritius is proud to be serving our wonderful nation and to celebrate Independence Day, a campaign, under the theme of ‘Proudly Mauritian’, was launched along with a train wrapping ceremony in collaboration with Metro Express Mauritius. Incoming passengers were welcomed by our Cabin Crew members with an Air Mauritius complimentary sanitary kit.
