Cylindrocline lorencei, a small shrub native to Mauritius, was believed to be extinct in the wild since 1990. It has soft and woolly leaves with fine hairs. Thanks to efforts by the Government of Mauritius and the Conservatoire National Botanique de Brest, the species has been successfully propagated and reintroduced in Black River Gorges National Park.
