"Connect and Protect'' focuses on Bois Tambour (Tambourissa peltata), endemic to Mauritius

The Bois Tambour (Tambourissa Peltata), is an endemic tree characterised by its leathery and glossy leaves.  Its male and female are borne on separate plants.  This species plays a key role in maintaining native forest ecosystems and in supporting biodiversity by providing food and habitat for various endemic fauna species.
