‘’Connect and Protect’’ focuses on the Mauritius Damselfly (Coenagriocnemis rufipes)

The Mauritius Damselfly (Coenagriocnemis rufipes), endemic to the island and measuring 2.5-3, features a delicate orange-red abdomen tip and graceful flight. Found near freshwaters, it helps control insect populations. Listed as endangered, its survival is threatened by habitat loss, invasive plants and water pollution, underscoring the need to protect wetland ecosystems.
