The Mauritius Kestrel (Falco punctatus), once the world’s rarest bird with only four individuals in the 1970s, has rebounded to around 350 due to long-term conservation efforts. Endangered and facing ongoing threats, it thrives in native forests. Declared Mauritius’ National Bird in March 2022, it symbolizes wildlife recovery. One of our Airbus A350-900 aircraft proudly bears its name.
